Hello!  Welcome to Rugged Alaska. A place where the grandeur and beauty of the wild is still found, still known, and still held in awe. Welcome to our view of the Great Land!

Tim Newton : I am an Alaskan by birth and by choice, forever in love with Alaska and its unique natural beauty. Trekking about the Alaska wilderness is one of my favorite pastimes, along with capturing moments encountered on my camera. From the Chugach mountain range, to the beautiful coast that runs along the Turnagain and Cook Inlet Arm, to the beauty found on even my own property, Alaska never disappoints nor ceases to amaze me.

My wife, Cathy: Also a true nature lover, her love for animals has been an integral part of her life since she was a child.  She and our collie, Monaco, are often walking the coastal trail, hiking in the mountains or nearby forests. The nature and beauty of Alaska has been a comfort and inspiration to her, and she often remarks how much both the scenery and animals remind her that she is part of a much greater story in this world.

Our hope is that in sharing this beauty you can experience the inspiration and solace that this Last Frontier has brought to us and our family.  ALASKA is HOME for us, enjoy!
